JAY JEN

Jay hails from Batu Pahat, Johor. He started dancing under the guidance of Vincent Tan Lian Ho during his secondary school days. A graduate from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, he was a dancer with the  Hong Kong Dance Company, Cloud Gate Dance Theatre and CCDC from 1990 to 2005. He is also a founding member of the South ‘ASLI’ Dance Workshop. Returning to Malaysia in 2005, he became a dance educator. He was a guest lecturer at ASWARA from 2012 to 2015.

ELECTIVE WORKSHOP: CONTEMPORARY RELEASE

An aging body that may have been hurt, is lack of exercise and does not possess any dancing skills, but is able to dance by just listening and following the rhythm of the heart.
