Humanhood
Repertoire: ∞ {Infinite} – Section called Nebula
∞ {Infinite} is Julia Robert and Rudi Cole (HUMANHOOD)’s first Dance Theatre Meditation in which they guide the audience through a mystical journey. The outside world of the magical dance on stage will merge with your internal awareness. The premise is movement and consciousness becoming aware of the infinite power that flows to and through us giving life to all beings.
This is the first production where they explicitly bring together their shamanic powers to fuse with their signature choreographic movement language.
Throughout the years of Julia and Rudi’s worldwide ventures into meditation energetic channeling yoga plant medicine and personal development they tapped into their internal power and felt called to share a work of art that aligns with their mission to raise human consciousness. During their creative career they strived for a link that bridged their artistic expression with their spiritual path.
∞ {Infinite} is the culmination of their personal holistic approach sculpturing a new way to experience a dance production in which the theatre setting becomes a sacred space conducive for internal realisations. ∞ {Infinite} opens a door through which the audience is invited to tap into the infinity we all contain within.
During this Dance Theatre Meditation you will be receiving energetic transmissions both through words and movement channeled by Julia and Rudi and embodied by the stunningly fluid dancers. The cosmic tribe on stage was formed through an intensive time in the dance studio as well as sacred rituals in Nature connecting beyond the physical realm. All group sessions started with a gratitude practice tapping into the power of our open hearts.
The whole research and final production was is and will continue to unfold as a sacred ritual of movement light and sound reminding us of the cosmic dance we are all a part of and the infinite potential of our future becoming. We invite you to enter into the spirit of ∞ {Infinite}.
∞ {Infinite} premiered in April 2022 at Mercat de les Flors Barcelona.

Julyen Hamilton
Julyen Hamilton is a maker of dances, music, poetry and classes. He has been making and performing dances for 40 years throughout the world. Born and brought up in England he trained in London in the 1970’s, a time of radical experimentation, he has been an exponent of innovative performance since that time. His work is mostly improvised : he composes dance works instantly as well as the texts which often accompany them. His work with text is unique. It fuses naturally his long-term writing practice with his refined skills in dancing. When working with his company ALLEN’S LINE he directs dancers and lighting designers to make and perform work through this same immediacy. Since the 80’s he has performed constantly in close collaboration with many of the highest quality musicians from all over Europe. It is with some of these musicians that he gives readings of his poetry. He is at present performing the solos ‘INTERVIEW’and ‘HELD DEAR’ , “KOAN” and performing with bass player Barre Phillips amongst many others.
With his company ALLEN’S LINE, he has been performing their latest piece ’The Eclipse of Reason’ in Rome, Paris, Bruxelles, France and Italy.
As a pianist he plays regularly with ‘Hamilton Carroll’ in Berlin and Brussels. Their first cd ‘POINTER’ was released in 2016. His label ‘Bluedog Publishing.net’ produces videos of his performances on DVD. CDs and print. His poetry album ‘Jack Gets Out of Prison’ with bassist Wilbert de Joode was released in 2018. His piano/bass album ‘The Road to Amarillo‘ with bass player Giorgos Kokkinaris was released in early 2022.
THEATRE WORKS – Creative Performing / Dance
THEATRE WORKS – Creative Performing / Dance
Julyen Hamilton’s teaching investigates deeply the creative act and the technique needed to accompany and facilitate it. His vision of technique is one which observes how things are made, how they function and how knowledge, experience and intuition can be used to create the work we each need to make. It naturally enters the world of physiology, philosophy, culture, imagination
and the future. In recent years the compositional elements of major concern have been time, space, dramaturgy, music and the voice; they stem from his experience as a dancer who creates and organises material instantly before the public. The basic work is the handling of the body and the ‘speaking’ from it in space, motion and time. Its coordination and its relationship to the material it creates – and then to the sharing of it in performance. His ability to distill and convey essential principles allows dancers from a wide range of backgrounds to engage in his methodology.
